I just noticed something pretty nifty (apologies for using the word nifty). Jack’s tattoos on her right (correct me if I’m wrong) arm are the different faces from her concept art. CRAZY. If this is old news just ignore me la dee da.
Yes, and in “The Art of the Mass Effect Universe”, they call them “Jack’s sisters” from her murdered gang family. I find it sad that she never talked about them. :/
Okay finally have a decent picture of my new mass effect tattoo :3 that Harvey Deal did for me on monday @ inkspot tattoo (north port, Florida) I freaking love it <3
its jacks right sleeve
“In my dreams, Jack and Miranda became the best of friends ever. Not as brosome as Thane and Garrus, mind you, but still super awesome best friends. They go on adventures to see how far they can bug the hell out of Aria before she blows them into space. They also put yogurt in the Illusive Man’s showerhead and sing folk songs a lot.”
i kind of touched on it in my liveblogging ficlet, about how jack and miranda are foils of each other. it just struck me as i was typing it up, and it’s rather resonating how true it is. both of them were fabricated for biotics, for someone’s legacy, for someone’s project. both were deprived of proper social contact, of nurture, or love. they both wanted a change for themselves, and instead of waiting around for the change to fall in their lap they rescued themselves.
and even then they weren’t done. they ran, both into the arms of questionable decisions. miranda became part of an organisation so ruthless it’s been labelled ‘terrorist’. jack flitted around from place to place, person to person, group to group. became a convict, which has the same sort of negative connotation.
so the difference is cerberus. cerberus prevented miranda from becoming a criminal for the sole fact that the organisation has money, has connections. what is the difference between a cerberus ‘project’ and jack’s ‘adventures’? the money involved and the people behind it.
both women are tools for cerberus.
idk, i find it interesting.
